Ms. Cobel Would Like to See You

I know I am late to Apple TV's Severance train, but, after binge watching the whole show in less than a week, it has become one of my favourite pieces of media of all time! Over the course of the next while, I am going to be doing short to medium length studies of various scenes from the show. I shall be going in chronological order, starting from this scene in S1 EP1:

In this shot, we see the macrodata refinement department of Lumon's severed floor at the beginning of what would become the end of their lives as they have come to accept them. Petey, their previous department head, has disappeared without any indication of his retirement, and Mr. Seth Milchick, the manager and security support of the severed floor, has come to collect Mark S. for a meeting with Ms. Harmony Cobel

I took a different approach to rendering for this piece, focusing on getting a good colour sketch down before separating out each element of the piece. My hope is in keeping the layer number as low as possible for as long as possible I will be more incentivized to create realistically messy spaces that have more environmental cohesion.
